Happy 9th Birthday, edwardlifegem.com!

Hi there!

Today's a very special day for this website because we're celebrating its 9th Birthday! Nine Years Ago, May 10th, 2010, I decided to create this website with Mary Dreamshade from "The Pie Loving Necromancer" to start blogging about a game that I love, Wizard101. Since then, we've made so many memories!

I created my website using the domain edwardwintergem.blogspot.com. My original purpose was to share my ice wizard, Edward Wintergem, adventures with everyone. This included farming for specific pets, attending events, and of course, questing! One specific topic that I would often blog about starting out in 2010 was the upcoming world of Celestia! Let's just say I couldn't wait to see this new world released to the public. Kingsisle would often hint at this world by releasing concept art & such, but waited awhile to officially release the world. I made a handful of blog posts about Celestia, but as soon as it was released, I started questing instead of blogging. Oops!

After leveling all six of my wizards at the time, I started paying more attention to reading blogs such as "The Friendly Necromancer" and attending events from another Official Fansite, "Diary of a Wizard". I was not as active in the community at the time and everyone who knew me knew that I was shy. As time progressed, I became less shy & more open. With that, I made many new friends! I also decided to start blogging again during the following year, 2011. I continued making many new Wizard101 blog posts throughout that year and through 2012.

In early 2012, Kingsisle announced a new game called Pirate101. I knew that I wanted to blog about this game because I loved pirates and really, the first online game that I tried playing was Pirates of the Carribean Online. Although, I must say that it lagged quite a bit since my computer was blah! :P Anyway, Pirate looked amazing and I started making many posts about events & my questing adventures (Edward Cringle to be specific). At the current time of this blog post being published, I believe more than half of the posts made (currently standing at 1,807) are Pirate-related. GO Pirate!

It's 2019, nine years to the day after I created this website. I must say that it's been such a great adventure! As we head into my blog's decaversary, I hope to continue bringing the community together through new blog posts, events, and more. Thank you all for supporting this website whether you just started reading today or have been reading since day one! Let's continue this adventure together.  Feel free to read all of my current May 10th posts by clicking on the dates/links below.

To end this post, I made a short montage of most of the headers that I've used over the years! Some of you may think that I've used the current header (at the top of the blog) the entire time I've been here, but I've used various headers for this website over the past nine years. Anyway, I'll leave you all to watching the video below. Thank you all so much for reading this post & supporting this website.  Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral. Onwards to 10 years!

Revisiting Wizard101 UK

Hello Wizards!

It's been quite some time since I've logged into the Wizard101 UK servers. How long? Well, it's been 3 years! In 2012, I made blog posts about questing adventures in the UK server. I made a few friends on that account, however, I forgot my account user & password. A few years later I created a second account in early 2015 with a 3rd Edward Lifegem.

I logged into the US Server today while brainstorming for our 4th Annual Santa Run. During this brainstorming, someone in the Arena was talking about where they were from. I started thinking about the UK server at that point. I was away from the keyboard for a while after that, but I was thinking about downloading the server again to check in on Edward Lifegem #3! I was in the server for about an hour talking with a few people. I was actually able to add a new friend (Blaze) from the UK server in the US server.

I also met another great person, Talon. I asked him quite a few questions about how the UK Server worked. Thank you, Talon, for answering those. You didn't have to, but you did. :D It was very nice talking to you & meeting another nice person from another Country. Serbia to be precise! This American enjoyed talking to you. This adventure was fun & I hope I can revisit the UK Server again soon. Let's hope it won't take me 3 years to visit it again. Thank you all for reading! Until next time, I'll see you around the spiral. :D

Happy 4th Birthday edwardlifegem.com!

Hi there, today is Around the Spiral with Edward Lifegem's 4th Birthday! This means I've been making blog posts for four years. I remember creating my blog on May 10th, 2010 with Mary Dreamshade and even though it feels like yesterday, I'm still happy I have been blogging this long. I really want to thank everyone for helping me stick around this long. I almost quit the game in 2011 but I'm glad I'm still here blogging and having fun on the game. I hope to stick around another four years (that would be epic would that be to make an 8th Birthday post). Anyways, thank you soooo much! I really don't know what else to say than that. I plan on making tons of P101 & W101 posts this year, next year and however long I'm here. :D I can't believe how much this blog has grown since 2010. I have made nearly 1,000 blog posts on this blog! I think that's impossible because I've had so much fun and it's crazy to think that I've blogged that much. How about another 1,000? 2,000? Well we'll see :). I would like to thank One-Eyed Jack for accepting my submission for Pirate101 Fansite and Kingsisle for amazing games to blog about. I would also like to thank you for reading this blog! It's amazing that I have so many readers. I don't know who's reading my blog, but whoever you are.. Thank you so much. :) I'm going to end this post now by sending you to all of my posts I've made in the past over my blog's blogiversary. Thank you again and I hope to see you around the spiral. :) Click on the images below to view my blogiversary posts from the past. :)

900th Blog Post!

Hi there!

Wow.. I can't believe this is my 900th blog post. Okay.. I've made 900 blog posts on this blog so far! For me, that's a crazy amount of posting.. I started blogging in May 2010, and I'm still making blog posts. I was only expecting to blog a few years but blogging has actually become a fun hobby of mine. On this post, I really wanted to ask a few questions that I think you might be asking but not really, maybe, maybe not. Well.. we'll see! I want all of you to know more about why I blog about Pirate101 and Wizard101 and why I've kept at it for so long!

I'm sure many of you know that I started blogging about Wizard101 with my friend, Mary Dreamshade. Mary created a blog called Pie Loving Necromancer and I created a blog called... Wizard101! No.. I'm not lying to you, it's the truth. I didn't know what the name my blog and just named it Wizard101 only. LOL. I created this blog because The Friendly Necromancer, Thomas Lionblood, inspired me to blog. I continued to blog again in April 2011, after a hiatus. I didn't think I was doing a good job at blogging in 2010 (when I first created this blog) and didn't really know when to post or what to post about. In 2012, I started to blog about Pirate101 and enjoyed every single last moment of blogging, just like I did when I started to blog about Wizard101. I decided to submit my blog to Pirate101 for Official Blog status and was accepted after a few times. I know it took a few times for my blog to be accepted but never gave up. When I was accepted, I was proud, not that I wasn't before, I already had so much to be thankful for and this happened and it added to the list of things I'm really thankful for. I'm so happy this blog is official and I do plan on submitting for Wizard101 this year if they open applications again. I'm not submitting for any fame, codes, or anything like that. I'm submitting because I want to bring the community together this year (and the next few years). I have plans starting this year for doing the same thing for Pirate101. I had so many computer issues and couldn't really talk to anyone on the game, have events, or attend events since I had the computer issues. I know this year is going to be fun and I bet you by post #1000 you'll be surprised. :) I have so many plans this year (of my own, not going to give any hints) and can't wait to share them with you! Thank you all so much for reading this blog, and if you're new to the blog, please know you're important to me not because of the view or follow, because you're part of the community that I love and I want to blog my adventures and have events for everyone to enjoy. If you have a question about something on the game or need help, let me know, I have a contact page below the followers of this blog. I always answer direct messages and emails! Okay, before I make this post longer than it needs to be, I'm going to stop typing now. Now! No... NOW! Wait.. I need to say one more thing.. Thank You

How To: On My Blog

Hi there,

I really wanted to make a post explaining a few things on my blog such as ratings of posts, how to comment on my blog posts, and I'm going to show you how you can follow my blog by email where you can receive an email each time I make a new blog post. I don't think I made a post like this before, but I'm glad I am now so all of you can come to this blog without having any trouble. I'll start with how to rate my blog posts..

Rating Blog Posts:

I don't remember telling anyone I've added this, but I have seen a few votes on a few of my blog posts lately. I wanted to tell everyone more about this so you understand how to use the Reactions. Once you get through reading a blog posts, whether it be an awesome one, or a terrible one, you can rate the blog post by clicking in the grey boxes. If it's a shocking blog post, just click the grey box for the reaction :O If it's a happy blog post just click the grey box with the smiley :) If you don't feel like clicking, don't click! :P

Commenting On Blog Posts

If you'd like to comment on my blog posts, just click on the comments section below my blog posts. If there's no comments, you'll read No Comments. If you see this, just click on it and you'll see a comment box where you can comment (view picture above). Sometimes there's already comments on my blog post, and it'll say that there's comments on the post, just click that and you'll see the same box show up below my blog post! :) Remember, you have to be signed in to an email account to comment on my blog post.

Follow My Blog By Email

The last thing I want to tell you about is about the Follow By Email option on my blog. After you type your email address just hit submit! You can use this to receive an email each time I make a blog post so you're always up to date on each and every one of my posts.
